So, Florida's reigning 3-time State Champion Miami Booker T. Washington is #2 in the final USA HS Football Poll?!? The Tornadoes, who were last year's {mythical} national champion, is denied to be back to back national champs.
How so?
Last time we checked you had to beat a champion to unseat the champion. And last time we checked, Miami Booker T. Washington went out to Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and beat them boys 28-12, on their home turf, on national TV.
So let’s compare the teams:
Plus, the Tornadoes and Gaels had a common opponent this season: #8 Bingham (UT).
— Bishop Gorman eeked out a 3 point win versus a strong Bingham Utah squad.
— Booker T. Washington beat the same Bingham (UT) Miners by 6 in a thrilling overtime nationally televised contest. The
The Gaels strongest opponent this season were #8 Bingham and #24 Concord Centennial.
Booker T. Washington’s strongest opponent this year were #5 Miami Central, #8 Bingham UT as well as Florida powers Bolles and Cocoa, a 10-3 Tucker GA team, a 12-2 Oscar Smith (VA) opponent, plus the numerous Miami-Dade County opponents they faced.
Miami Booker T. Washington should be the #1 Team in the country on the USA Super 25 and should be back-to-back National Champs.
