James attended MidAmerica Nazarene University from 2000 to 2005. During his time there, he set 7 school records, and was an All-American receiver. After graduating, James began his coaching career at Palmetto High School. He then joined his brother, John, at Bloomingdale High School until 2014. At that time, James returned to his alma mater, and was the Offensive Coordinator for the Manatee Hurricanes. As Offensive Coordinator, James engineered the top offense in Manatee County, and reached as high as #1 in the state for 8A. After two seasons as Plant City’s head coach, James has guided the Raiders to a District Championship, and hopes to continue that same excellence this upcoming season. James is married to Lauren, and together they have three children; Connor, Addison, and Palmer.
