Former Quincy Shanks QB great Willie Simmons named Head Coach of Florida A&M

(TALLAHASSEE) - Florida A&M University has officially announced Willie Simmons as the new Head Football Coach. Simmons is the ___ coach in FAMUs long storied football history.
Willie Simmons was a star QB at James Shanks High School in Quincy, Florida. The Big Bend offensive player of the year in was a lauded prospect, with offers from top football programs in the country: Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Syracuse.
Simmons ultimately chose Clemson.
Shanks returns home to coach the Rattlers, after stints as head coach of Prairie View A&M, and several offensive coordinator positions at various colleges.
