MOUNT DORA -- The Bulldogs from Mount Dora Christian Academy used a potent ground attack led by Tyler Allen, Landon Dotson, and Kevin Davina to defeat the Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles 35-0 in a home game at Tom Jett Field Saturday evening.
Kevin Davina scored the game's first points on a 16 yard touchdown run to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Tyler Allen added a 10 yard rushing touchdown and a Bulldog two point conversion made the score 15-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Mount Dora Christian quarterback Reggie Virgil tossed a 9 yard touchdown pass to Landon Dotson that made the score 22-0 in favor of the Bulldogs with 9:13 left before halftime. Tyler Allen scored his second touchdown of the night on a 67 yard touchdown run with 3:13 left in the half which gave Mount Dora Christian a 28-0 halftime lead.
Both squads were held scoreless in the third quarter and the final score of the game occurred when Landon Dotson scored his second touchdown of the night with a 2 yard plunge with 11:56 remaining in the game. After the extra point, the score was 35-0 and the mandatory running clock rule went into effect.
Central Florida Christian was never able to get on track offensively during the game. Their only scoring threat ended when they had first and goal at the Mount Dora Christian three yard line and were stopped on downs at the one yard line on fourth and goal.

Mount Dora Christian remains undefeated at (3-0) and they have a home game versus Faith Christian Academy (2-1) next week. Central Florida Christian (0-3) has not tasted victory this season and they will host Windermere Prep (1-2) next week.
