Crawfordville Wakulla started the 2015 season with a 42-14 blowout loss to Spartanburg(SC) on their home turf. The War Eagles have responded in a major way by winning their next 13 games and have earned a chance to play for the Class 5A State Championship. This will be Wakulla's fifth appearance in a State Championship Game, the War Eagles won back to back Class 2A State Championships in 1980 and 1981. They also were state runner ups in 1978 and 2011.

Leading the charge in Orlando for Wakulla will be two highly touted seniors in  6-6 220 pound QB/K/P Feliepe Franks and WR/DB/KR/PR Keith Gavin, a 6-4 225 pounder. Franks has completed 58% of his passes for 2,544 yards, 33tds and only 2 ints. He also has averaged 43 yards on  21 punts, landing 6 of those inside the 20, and has a long of 68 yards. As a kicker, he has made 39 of 43 extra point attempts, connected on 4 of 7 field goals, including one from 47 yards! Keith Gavin is Franks' favorite target. Gavin caught 47 passes for 886 and 14tds, he also averages 38 yards on kick returns, and 18 yards per punt return.

Junior WR/DB Kelton Donaldson(24rec 587yds 7tds) and versatile junior WR/DB Justin Davis, who has 407 yards rushing, 439 yards receiving, 5tds, and 3ints on defense, will look to keep the opposition's defensive backfield from keying on Gavin.

Demarcus Lindsey will carry the bulk of the load in the War Eagles' ground game, the junior RB rushed for 1,121 yards and 10 tds. and caught 14 passes for 249 yards receiving and 5 more touchdowns. At 6-2 and 220 pounds, junior RB Brandon Berry is a bruiser who had 495 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. Senior RB/LB Monterious Loggins rushed for 307 yards and 5 tds. The 6-1 225 pound senior also chipped in on defense with 103 tackles and 4 sacks.

On the defensive side of the ball, Wakulla is led by turnover machine Jake McCarl. The junior has recovered 3 fumbles, intercepted 2 passes, blocked 3 punts and made 61 tackles! Sophomore DB/WR Chris Beverly has made 40 tackles and intercepted 4 passes. Senior DEs Andrew Gaylord(40 tackles 2 sacks) and Herbert "Bud" Franklin(56 tackles 3 sacks) lead the defensive line. Senior Antonio Morris(78 tackles 1 sack) and junior Adrian Morris(69 tackles) lead the linebackers.

The Hornets of Orlando Bishop Moore will be Crawfordville Wakulla's opponent in the Class 5A final. Bishop Moore is playing for their first state championship in 45 years! The Hornets defeated Quincy Shanks 21-12 to win the 1970 Class 1A State Championship.

Offensively, Bishop Moore uses a strong ground attack to wear down opponents. Sophomore RB Trilion Coles has 1,134 yards rushing and 13tds, he also chipped in 14 catches for 191 yards and 2tds. CJ McNeal is a 5-9 170 pound junior RB who added 879 yards rushing and 13 tds. Another weapon in the Hornets' aresenal is junior athlete Joe Wallace. Wallace rushed for 687 and 8tds on only 64 carries! He also caught 12 passes for 329 yards and  5tds.

When Bishop Moore goes to the air, they'll rely on the arm of senior QB Collin Hartman. Hartmann completed 61% of his passes for 1,610 yards, tossed 17 tds along with 5 ints. He has 341 yards rushing and 8tds as well. He'll look to distribute the ball to Wallace and senior WR/TE Nick Fries(21 rec 386 yds 5tds) and Rayshad Lewis(21 rec 325 yds 4tds), also a senior.

The Hornets' defense is led by three senior linebackers. Austin Anderson(60 tackles 14tfl 11 sacks), Rodney Taylor(82 tackles 12tfl 3 sacks), and Giovanni Reveron(83 tackles 1tfl 1 sack) make up a solid unit at linebacker. Bishop Moore has two solid seniors on their defensive line in Zander Zimmer(101 tackles 9tfl 5 sacks) and Josh Keeler(51 tackles 22tfl 4 sacks). Ben Deluca is a senior DB who led the Hornets with 121 tackles including two behind the line of scrimmage.
