Several seniors and St. Thomas Aquinas coach Roger Harriott celebrate after Raiders 2015 7A State Championship win

For the second consectutive season, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas used a strong defensive effort to repeat as Class 7A State Champions! They also held the Hawks to 46 yards rushing on 32 carries, an average of 1.4 yards per rush! Big 6-3 220 pound Michael Irvin, the son of the NFL Hall of Famer with the same name added 3 catches for 33 yards.

Viera had their seven game win streak snapped to end the year 10-5. It was the schools first appearance in a state championship game in their ten year existence. Jay Boyd played a good game in defeat, he finished with 96 all-purpose yards, 9 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and an interception.
