The Miami Carol City Chiefs clinched a spot in Saturday's FHSAA 6A state championship game after blanking the Punta Gorda Charlotte Tarpons 39-0. Carol City took the road well traveled to get there as the Chiefs won all four playoff games on the road.
The 13-0, undefeated Lakeland Lake Gibson Braves will be the team that lines up opposite of Carol City in the 6A title game. Lake Gibson defeated the Navarre Raiders 35-14 in the Class 6A semifinals to earn a spot to play for the 6A crown.
