Class 2A State Championship Game Preview

The Jacksonville University Christian Christians come into the Class 2A State Championship Game with 7 state titles on their resume. They have been extremely productive on offense, scoring 587 points in 13 games for an average of 45.1 points per game. The Christians come into the game with two 1,000 yard rushers. Senior RB Hussein Howe has 1,684 yards rushing and 32tds, he also was a starter as a freshman on University Christian's 2012 Class 2A State Championship squad. Otis Anderson Jr, no relation to former UM and NFL great Ottis Anderson, is a junior RB that rushed for 1,015 yards and 15tds on only 107 carries!
The opponent for the Christians will be The Cambridge Christian Lancers, who are playoff rookies. This is this their first appearance in the FHSAA playoffs. If the Lancers come up with a victory, they 'll become the first team to win a state championship in the first playoff appearance since Delray Beach Carver in 1968!
Cambridge Christian is led on offense by two sophomore playmakers. Andrew Cunningham is the featured RB and he has rushed for 1,315 yards and 24 tds. Cunningham also caught 18 passes for 223 and 6tds. QB Jaylin Jackson has completed 60% of his passes for 1,325 yards and 17tds. Jackson has rushed for 447 yards and 7 scores as well. The Lancers are averaging 45.2 points per game.
Cambridge Christian has been very good on defense this season, they only give up 11.6 points per game. Leading the defensive charge is sophomore MLB Scott Ater who has 99 tackles and 10tfl.
