Venice QB Bryce Carpenter named Florida's Mr. Football

Venice Indians' QB Bryce Carpenter has been named the 2017 Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Football. Mr. Football is awarded annually by Florida Dairy Farmers Association.
Carpenter guided his Indians to the 7A State Championship, a culmination of an extremely productive career, where he started 4 years for Venice. The Indians beat Bartram Trail handily in the state title game, with Carpenter connecting with this favorite target 8 times for 159 yards in the 1st half ... with Double Coverage!!!!
During his senior campaign, Carpenter threw for ___ yards, ___ passing TD, and only __ INT. Beating national powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas along the way. The Indians field general led his team to a 13-1 record, and Winning Venice's Second State Championship in School History!
Carpenter is currently committed to the Coastal Carolina, where he is expected to sign alongside his record-setting teammate receiver Jaivon Heiligh during the Early Signing Period

Heisman Trophy winner and Florida Gator great QB Tim Tebow played high school ball in the same city balling at Ponte Vedra Allen Nease. Tebow won the Mr. Football Award in 2005 after throwing 3,302 yards, 31 TD, 4 INT. Timmy also rushed for 1,163 yards in his senior season with another 21 yards on the ground.
Former Yulee star RB Derrick Henry, named Florida's Mr. Football in 2012, went on to Alabama win a Heisman Trophy and lead the Crimson Tide to a National Championship.
Former 2x state Champion Miami Central RB Dalvin Cook went to Florida State to become the Seminoles' All-Time Leading Rusher.
