Derrick Brooks to be inducted into NFHS Hall of Fame

Florida Gridiron legend Derrick Brooks has been inducted into the National Federation of State High School Hall of Fame.
Brooks will be one of 12 players to inducted into the 2019 Hall of Fame class, and one of 482 total players to be in the NFHS Hall of Fame, since it's start in 1982.
Arguably Florida State's best defensive player, Derrick Brooks and his vaunted defense, coupled with Heisman trophy winner Charlie Ward, led the Seminoles to their 1st National Championship. Brooks had an outstanding 4-year career at Florida State, amassing 274 tackles, 5 INT, and 8.5 sacks.

Brooks is the 6th Seminole to be elected in the College Hall of Fame (Fred "Freddie B" Biletnikoff, Ron Sellers, Ron Simmons, Deion Sanders, Charlie Ward)

At PENSACOLA WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL
Graduating out of Pensacola's Booker T. Washington HS, Brooks was crowned the USA Today Defensive Player of the Year, as a LB/SS. Brooks led his Tornadoes to the State Semifinals his senior.
