(GAINESVILLE) -- The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) released their latest Football Power Rankings Wednesday afternoon for the 2022 season. The new system to determine playoff qualifications and playoff placements for the 2022 season is determined by the new Football Power Rankings. Power Rankings contain two key calculated factors: Rating and Strength. The FHSAA will release Power Rankings weekly.

MIAMI CENTRAL REMAINS #1 RANKED TEAM IN FLORIDA!

Miami Central is still #1 in the latest FHSAA Football Power Rankings, released Wednesday, November 2.

ROC BOYS ON MISSION TO 4-PEAT!

Most people knew Rankings or not that Miami Central is the best team in the state of Florida... And when they beat IMG on their home turf earlier in the year, there was no doubt. But now the Central Rockets have solidified their standing officially as the state's Number One team in the state with the latest rankings, catapulting from their previous #2 rank to eclipse Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna for the top ranking.

Rankings are nice and all, but First Year Head Coach Jube Joseph is about the process: the only thing that matters is going 1-0 each week as the Rockets inch toward their destiny of 4-peating for the second time in Central's storied history. The Rockets are officially in the playoffs after beating Miami Norland 53-7 last week for the District 2M-13 Title.

The Rockets beat Columbus in a battle of the state's #1 and #3 teams, during the second year of the GMAC Championship Series versus Miami Columbus.
