Hurricane Helene has emerged into a Category 4.
Category 4 hurricane winds of 130mph or more are extremely dangerous coupled with a storm surge with some expectations exceeding 20 feet. Spaghetti models of the projected trajectory anticipate Helene with a direct hit on Florida's Big Bend and our state capital, Tallahassee. Since the tally of history in Tallahassee, our capital has not received a direct hit of this magnitude.
