FLORIDA -- With 2025's Early Signing Period going three days strong starting Wednesday, December 4 and officially ending Friday, December 6, let's take a look at where high school players and transfer portal recruits from our State of Florida landed for their upcoming 2025 collegiate football season.
MALACHI TONEY SIGNS WITH THE CANES
Star Wide Receiver Malachi Toney who just dominated in a region championship starting as QB for his Plantation American Heritage in their STATE CHAMPIONSHIP quest, signed later Wednesday with his hometown Miami Hurricanes. Toney, who hails from The 305, but stars for the Broward powerhouse, is a Nat Moore finalist, the elite trophy presented to the best player in South Florida, universally recognized as the premier recruiting soil of the nation. Toney and his Patriots defeated Miami Norland last week to play Friday night in the Class State Semifinal.
Toney is one the nation's elite multiple threat talents, who first showcased his talents as a freshman during a nationally televised game on ESPN. Since then, even with teams aware of his freakish ability, he has been unstoppable. And then he did the unthinkable then, but everybody agrees now type move: Originally a Class of 2026 player, he reclassified early to Class of 2025 to land where we are now, a current 2025 signee with the Miami Hurricanes.
CHAMINADE AND HEAD COACH LEGEND DAMEON JONES CONTINUE TO SEND THE DAWGS NATIONWIDE
DB Cris Ewald, Jr. and Donta Simpson (MIAMI HURRICANES), WR Koby Howard and QB Bekkem Kritza (Penn State), DB Camari Hall (Middle Tennessee), LB Matthew Pointer (FIU), RB Jaquari Lewis (Appalachian State)
Last year after Chaminade's State Championship win, Ohio State WR Coach Brian Hartline assured HC Dameon Jones that he would take great care of the nation's coveted national gem, Jeremiah Smith. This time, signing time, we saw how much production synergized with freshman Jeremiah Smith being crowned not only the best freshman in the BIG 10, but also the conferences best receiver.
MAINLAND DEFENSIVE LINEMAN CHRISTIAN HUDSON HEADED TO BOULDER AND DEION
Hudson, who helped spearhead a talented Bucs' defense, was a big reason, Daytona Beach Mainland brought home their second state championship trophy, Christian Hudson signs with the Colorado Buffaloes making it official as he heads from Volusia County to the beautiful rustic scenery in Boulder Colorado's campus. He will join a Florida Boy's paradise, where Deion, the iconic Florida Boy, is at the helm with many coaches from the Sunshine State and an emphasized focus on recruiting his homegrounds of Florida, which Coach Prime has emphatically "unbiasedly" stated produces the best (and most hungry) players.
MIAMI HURRICANES NAB TWO MORE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDING DEFENSIVE ALL-AMERICANS FROM 95TH STREET
State Champions Runner-Up Miami Central defensive All-Americans Amari Wallace and Ezekiel Marcelin, Jr. both made it official that they are staying home to play for Mario Cristobal. Both starred as they led their Miami Central Rockets to a State Championship in 2022.
Will join former Miami Central Rockets State Champion teammates Rueben Bain, Jr. and Wesley Bissainthe at #TheU #Pipeline.
OLE MISS REELS IN SIX ELITE PLAYERS FROM FLORIDA
Ole Miss didn't miss out on their share of Florida players for Early National Signing Day. Lane Kiffin, who many might have wanted as the Florida Gators coach before news was given that confidence was in Billy Napier, still utilized his connections from his FAU HC days to branch his tentacles statewide to hand pick the elite from our fertile gridiron ground here in Florida.
